Michael Roderick is an award-winning Visual Effects Supervisor and Technical Director with over two decades of experience creating compelling visuals for film, television, and large-format immersive experiences.

Leadership & Project Management

Michael is known for leading and managing successful projects, skillfully steering them from initial breakdown and budgeting to final delivery. His leadership ensures the delivery of exceptional, high-quality visual effects services while adeptly managing technical challenges and team resources.

Throughout his career, Michael has been a leader in specialized VFX. As a VFX Supervisor at Stereoscopic FX, he specialized in designing immersive 3D visual effects for feature films and 4K IMAX productions. He also developed a groundbreaking 2D to 3D stereoscopic conversion process as the CEO and Stereoscopic Director at Inner-D.

  • Winner (2x): Best Visual Effects from the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) for Grand Canyon: Rivers of Time (2023) and Cities of the Future (2024).

  • Nominee: Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project from the Visual Effects Society (VES) for Sea World "Turtle Trek" (2013).

  • Honorary Emmy Nomination: For his work as a 2D Supervisor on the TV show HOUSE at Encore Hollywood, contributing to thousands of visual effects for numerous TV shows and films.

Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, where he also attended university, Michael has built a career defined by technical innovation and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.
